Aviatour is hosting its first annual Click for a Cause, an amateur photography contest and exhibit. It will be held at SM City Cebu Northwing on October 23-25, 2009. The objective of the exhibit is as follows:

• Promote aviation and highlight the beauty of the Philippines

• Provide a venue to showcase the talents of budding photographers

• Raise a total of one million pesos for the Albert Schweitzer Orphanage and the Aviation Society of the Philippines

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

The photo contest is open to all AMATEUR photographers. Categories include aviation, aerial, nature, portraits of life and "This is Cebu!"

PRIZES 

• Best in Show: 10,000PHP
• First Place, each Category: 5,000PHP 
• 10 Consolation Prizes: 2,000PHP each

ENTRY SUBMISSION

The contest is open to all amateur photographers with no published and public exposure of photographs, do not take photos as a source of income and has not won any photography contest in the past.

• Entry forms can be downloaded here. You can also secure entry form from Aviatour Office, Lot 3, General Aviation Area, Mactain International Airport.

• Photos must be taken within the competition period. Entries must be printed in full color, photo paper and should be in 8R size (8x10). Each entry should be mounted on black illustration board with one-inch border per side.

• Submit forms in three copies with your entry inside an envelope to Red Tag Graphics, Archbishop Reyes, Cebu City. Look for Retchel (0921 277 7833) or Maita (0922 728 7704. Entries can also be submitted at the Aviatour Office. Contact Binky at 341 2268 or 495 2268.

• Names of the participants should not appear on the entry. Registration fee of P100 is applied for each entry.

• Digital retouching on density, contrast adjustments, minor cropping, burning, dodging maybe tolerated but major manipulation such as manual retouching, adding and subtracting, and painted over printouts are not allowed.

Beneficiaries

Albert Schweitzer Orphanage
Houses 58 abandoned, neglected and indigent children in Cebu. Proceeds from the event will support the following projects:

• Build a dining hall and kitchen for the children
• Create a college scholarship fund
